Better Process Control School (BPCS)
The Better Process Control School (BPCS) is a nationally recognized training program that meets FDA and USDA requirements for supervisors and personnel involved in the manufacture of shelf-stable acidified foods, low-acid canned foods, and aseptically processed foods. This self-paced online program provides the scientific, technical, and regulatory knowledge needed to produce safe, high-quality food products and maintain compliance with federal regulations.
Through video lectures, course materials, and chapter assessments, participants will learn the principles of thermal processing, food microbiology, sanitation, container integrity, and process control. Depending on your professional responsibilities, you may choose certification in Acidified Foods, Retort Processing, Aseptic Processing or the Complete Certification Program, which includes Acidified, Retort, and Aseptic Processing.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive certification documenting completion of the required Better Process Control School training.
Note: Each certification includes the required course modules and assessments. Please review the certification descriptions to determine which option is most appropriate for your products, processes, and regulatory requirements.
