
Public Speaking Expert
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the art and science of public speaking. Learners will explore the fundamental principles of effective communication, including speech development, organization, and delivery. The course then delves into the ethical responsibilities of a speaker, the crucial role of audience analysis, and the symbiotic relationship between listening and speaking. Learners will craft compelling informative and persuasive speeches, as well as explore other unique presentation formats. Key topics include developing a clear purpose and topic, conducting thorough research, structuring speeches for maximum impact, mastering delivery techniques, and adapting to different audiences.

This course assists learners in preparing for the following certifications. Note: Learners must pass a certification exam and, in some cases, document a specified amount of work experience, in order to be eligible for certification.
- National Workforce Career Association (NWCA) Public Speaking (PUBSPC) Certification
(The NWCA exam can be offered both in groups of students in the classroom or individually online.)
